Scoring summary:
1: Middle of the second period. Face off in our zone, won by the other team, and an attacking player found open ice at the 8 o'clock section of the face off circle. I tried to poke check the puck, but they fired a quick shot that went in under my armpit.
2: Pass from the corner to an open man in the slot. I challenged out but got beat low glove side. If I had read the players hand and had a little more depth it might have been a save.
3. 2 on 1, player with the puck didn't pass and cut across blocker side to glove side. I butterfly slid and followed him, but not quick enough as he snuck it in the corner before I sealed off the lower net on that side. I lost sight of the puck when it was in tight, and might have been able to make a toe extension if I had a better visual of the puck.
4. 2 on 1, player with the puck passed. I slid across, but the puck snuck in under my blocker arm.
Highlights:
Allowed no goals in the first period, including stopping a couple of passes out to the slot and a couple of 2 on 1s.

Game Log - Thurs May 12 - Caps vs Shockers
Overall performance: terrible
Final Score: 9-7 win
Scoring summary:
1: Giveaway to player at hash marks of left faceoff circle. Screened shot release. Beat me glove side. I could have been positioned further to glove side due to blocking by d-man and positioning of the shooter.
2: Two one one, player with the puck drove wide, passed to partner in the slot. Decent bfly slide, lost sight of the puck and scored in between my pad and blocker.
3: Player with puck rounded the net, and took a shot from just above goal line, 4-5 ft from goal. I did bfly slide to follow player around net, then filled space for any shot. Puck hit me in the chest and trickled into the goal. I should have performed VH block in this instance.
4: Shot from similar location as 1st. Again beat me glove side
5: Breakaway goal. I was too deep in my crease, beat me low glove side

7: Breakaway goal. Player streaking from blocker side. Went down to early and allowed an easy deke and score on empty net.

I was able to regroup for the second period and stopped all shots. Made several saves in succession in a last minute goal mouth scramble to preserve the lead.
